Downspout Flushing vs. Basic Blockage Clearing
Some companies only do downspout blockage clearing, meaning they pull out the obvious chunk of debris and move on. Downspout flushing goes further. We run water through the full length of pipe to clear smaller particles that pack together over time and slow drainage before they create a full blockage.
That buildup is where clogged downspouts really start. A pipe can look open at the top but be running at 20 percent capacity because of compressed grit and granules halfway down. Full flushing catches that problem before your next big storm does.
Fix Leaking Downspouts While We're Already There
If your downspout is dripping at a seam or pulling away from the gutter outlet, we can address that during the same visit. Most downspout leak fixes are a simple re-seal or re-bracket job that adds very little time to a cleaning appointment.
Ignoring a leaking joint usually means the water is running behind your siding or pooling next to your foundation instead of being directed away from the house. Catching it early is a lot cheaper than what water damage repair costs later.
Downspout Maintenance for the Full Gutter Downspout System
Your gutter downspouts are the last link in the drainage chain. The gutters collect water, the downspouts move it down and away. If either part fails, the other one can't do its job. Routine downspout maintenance keeps that whole system working the way it was built to.
We look at the full downspout systems during every visit, including extensions, elbows, and underground drain connections if you have them. If something looks like it needs attention beyond cleaning, we'll point it out and give you an honest quote.
